Ways to take care of Mental Health (cognitive functioning) as we age (i.e., seniors):


  1. Engage in Memory Exercises 
  2. Engage in “thinking” games => Sudoku, Scrabble, puzzles, etc
  3. Learn something new
  4. Stay Socially Active
  5. Manage stress
  6. Stay physically active and monitor diet
  7. Learn to lean => who’s in your support group? 
  8. Read
  9. Activities using your hands (hand-eye coordination)
  10. Gardening
  11. Music (learning the lyrics to a song, playing an instrument, singing, listening, etc)
